By Public Transportation Take the Forest Hills Orange T to Green Street. Walk up Amory Street to the juncture of Williams and Amory Street. English High School (EHS) is located at the juncture of Amory Street and Williams Street. Proceed to the main entrance of EHS, enter the school and sign in at the main office. Driving Directions View Larger Map FROM THE MASS PIKE EAST OR RT. 95 NORTH: Exit the MA Pike at the juncture of 95 south (formerly Rt. 128). Exit Rt. 95 South at the juncture of Rt. 9 East. Stay on Rt. 9 East until it ends in Brookline Village at the juncture of the Arborway – Rt. 203 – Go right on the Arborway – Rt. 203 – (heading toward the Arboretum – Forest Hill Station – Mattapan – the South Shore). Remain on Rt. 203 until you pass the Arboretum. Just past the Arboretum, take the exit ramp to the right. At the end of the ramp go left – (under the overpass – then an immediate right just past the overpass. At your first set of lights, turn left. This is Washington Street. Stay on Washington St. for about ¼ of a mile – until you see English High on your left (you’ll see a track and the school from Washington St.). Take a left onto Williams St. and park in any one of the parking lots which abut the school. Enter the building via the Williams Street entrance (by the parking lot). FROM THE SOUTH: Take the Granite Avenue Exit for I 93 North. Go right (Dorchester/Neponset). At your second set of lights turn left on Gallivan Blvd, which after one mile merges with Morton St. (Rt. 203). Remain on Morton St./Rt. 203 until your first rotary (a little over 2 miles). Exit the rotary at your second right at which you’ll see a sign “to Washington Street.” At your first intersection (about 1/10 of a mile) take a right on Washington St. Remain on Washington St. until you see English High on your left (about 2/10 of a mile). Take a left on Williams St. and park in any one of the parking lots which abut the school. Enter the building via the Williams Street entrance (by the parking lot). FROM RT. 28N (QUINCY, RANDOLPH): Take Rt. 28N to Mattapan Square. In Mattapan Sq. go left on Cummings Highway until the juncture of Cummings Highway and Hyde Park Avenue. Go right on Hyde Park Avenue. At Forest Hill Train Station, Hyde Park Ave merges with Washington Street. Stay on Washington St. until you see English High on your left (about 2/10 of a mile). Take a left onto Williams St. and park in any one of the parking lots which abut the school. Enter the building via the Williams Street entrance (by the parking lot). PARKING: Please park in one of the three lots which abut either the school or athletic fields. If the lots are full, parking may be found on Washington St. |
